The mother of a 13-year-old child, who is studying in the seventh grade in a public school, said her son almost died of strangulation in his classroom as a result of his colleague's tradition of strangling the game he learned from an electronic application.

She explained to the Emirates Today that the incident occurred last week, when her son was sitting in his class during the reserve quota, as his colleague sitting behind him pulled his cord and tied him around Rashid's neck and pulled him tight.

She added that Rashid tried to untie the rope, but the student continued to tighten, and told him «night only game and suffocated and do not breathe», stressing that her son was severely suffocated, and the strength of his colleague and holding the rope strongly prevented from saving himself.

She pointed out that the break of the rope caused the survival of her son, and went to the teacher and told him that he was injured in the neck.

She said that the teacher gave her son first aid, and put a medical sticker around his neck, and immediately after her son returned home tried to avoid everyone's attention, until I saw his neck blue and bleeding, and can not speak properly.

She said: «I reminded him that I told him two days before the incident, not to try (strangulation game) or see it through smart applications», pointing out that she saw him watching the game.

She added: «I went to school and met with the administration and informed her of the incident, was brought the student actor and his guardian, who seemed angry with his son».

She pointed out that the student actor, he did not mean to stifle Rashid, but was trying to challenge the strangulation game, stressing that the game poses a threat to the safety of students and endanger their lives.

She explained that she did not suspect the active student of the police, while the school administration apologized, and promised to monitor students and make them aware of the dangers of challenging games deployed on smart applications.
