The General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai has launched a questionnaire to limit the data of the citizens of the Emirate of Dubai seeking job opportunities and direct them to the opportunities that suit their qualifications and job desires, in a first step to implement the Emirate of Dubai work plan on the Emiratization file, which was adopted by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, at the end of last September, pursuant to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched in the new season message.

The questionnaire will be used to link job seekers to job opportunities in the government and private sectors in a data-driven manner, taking into account the acquired skills and competencies. The questionnaire was launched last Tuesday and ends today.

The Emirati Emiratisation Initiative Director, Maryam Al Falahi, stressed that Emiratisation is the top priority in the implementation of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's new season letter on Emiratisation as a priority on the government work agenda. Rashed Al Maktoum, pointing out that the action plan gives citizens the qualification and provide them with job opportunities that suit their competencies, so that the needs of the labor market are adapted to the capabilities of researchers and the aspirations of leadership.

She added that «the provision of jobs for citizens is the main concern for us this year, and therefore we recognize the importance of linking the qualifications of citizens with the requirements of the labor market, and work to enhance their competitiveness, in order to improve the process of Emiratisation on an effective basis, so that citizens find the right work for them, and the vision of the leadership aimed at Stability of citizens and the provision of decent life opportunities for them, he continued, "The responsibility also lies on job seekers as a key partner in the success of Emiratization initiatives, and therefore highlights the importance of completing the questionnaire data accurately and expressing their desire to work."

The questionnaire includes a number of axes that support its objectives and contribute in facilitating the process of linking the available job opportunities to the qualifications and desires of citizens, namely personal information of citizens seeking work, their educational qualifications, their current job status, their job desires, and finally the skills enjoyed by the job seeker.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, at the end of September, adopted the action plan presented by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council in cooperation with the Department of Human Resources of the Government of Dubai, Knowledge and Human Development Authority, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Dubai Free Zones Council Job for every citizen ».

The plan includes qualitative initiatives based on five foundations: labor market monitoring and analysis, educational systems and skills, employment programs, information, career guidance and guidance, and finally policies and legislation.

A number of incentives for the private sector, promotion of Emiratisation efforts, job rotation between the public and private sectors, and training and secondment for job seekers will also be issued.

The plan aims to develop a system to enhance the enrollment of jobseekers in programs that support continuous learning, in addition to strengthening training and rehabilitation programs by providing training programs adapted to the needs of the labor market and practical training programs, and strengthening scholarships in strategic sectors.
