The day after their meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, the members of the French Council of the Muslim cult gathered Tuesday, October 29 in Paris the Religious Council of the CFCM. During this meeting, the theme of the veil which some members demand the prohibition of parents accompanying school trips, was discussed.

After three hours of discussions in a room of the Great Mosque of Paris, the religious council drew a conclusion on the veil, while stating that this religious prescription is practiced by other religions without being offended .

" Many religions are carriers for women of veil for reasons of modesty, reasons of religion, reasons quite personal without hanging somewhere any criticism, says Dalil Boubakeur, president of the French Council of Worship Muslim. But here we say that the Muslim women of this country wear the headscarf or do not wear it, it is their freedom that is totally respected both by Islam and by republican laws. "

According to theological advice, wearing or not wearing the headscarf is an expression of the freedom of each. Moreover, faced with the commitment of women on religious issues, the CFCM proposes the integration of mourchidates, ie theologians within the same Religious Council, currently composed only of men.
