This was stated by Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel following the results of trilateral gas talks in Brussels.

“The direct supply agreement, I think, we can consider with the Russian side on favorable terms for both sides,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Orgel, "if we say that the price should be competitive, market, we can consider these conditions for the supply."

He also said that representatives of Ukraine during the trilateral consultations on gas proposed to hold the next round of negotiations after November 11.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Energy of Russia Alexander Novak said that the Russian side is ready as a fallback to offer an extension of the existing agreement on gas transit through Ukraine.
