Since May, the International Children's Climate Prize has received nominations from young innovators and activists who have done something extraordinary for the environment. A record number of climate-committed children and young people from all over the world have submitted their contributions and, after intensive deliberation by the jury, the finalists are now ready. The next step will be to name the winners in the two categories "Children's Climate Prize" and "Clean Air".

Now the finalists are ready for the fourth edition of the Children's Climate Prize. The International Climate Prize is organized to raise and pay tribute to children and adolescents aged 12-17 who drive climate and environmental issues and come up with innovative solutions to various sustainability problems.

New categories

The Children's Climate Prize has grown every year the award is awarded, but for the first time ever a new category has been introduced - "Clean Air". The winners in both categories are each awarded SEK 100,000 for being able to develop their projects. The category “Clean Air” has been added in conjunction with the climate partner's new partner - the air cleaning company Blueair.

This year's awards ceremony will take place on November 13 during a gala evening in Stockholm City Hall. The day before, the winners visit Södertälje city hall to participate in Children's Climate Talks, a meeting place where the winners get the chance to present their projects in more detail.
