The 27 EU member states have accepted the United Kingdom's request to postpone Brexit to January 31, 2020, as announced by the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, stating that the so-called "flextension" was accepted, indicating that London could also leave the EU before that date in the event of approval of the negotiated agreement by London with Brussels by the British parliament. The green light of the 27 arrives on the day when Westminster is going to vote for the request of Prime Minister Boris Johnson to hold elections ahead of December 12th.

The EU27 has agreed that it will accept the UK's request for a #Brexit flextension until 31 January 2020. The decision is expected to be formalized through a written procedure.
