By slipping four goals to OM, PSG now has an eight-point lead in Ligue 1 on his dolphin Nantes, after the 11th day Sunday.

The expected shock between the two rivals turned short in favor, once again, PSG (4-0). Two goals from Mauro Icardi (10th, 26th) and two from Kylian Mbappé (32nd, 44th) froze all Marseille hopes in the first act.

This victory is therefore eight points ahead of the leader and defending champion on the 2nd Nantes, defeated Friday by Monaco (1-0). Even more impressive is the gap between the Parisians and the competitors deemed to be the most serious to challenge them: PSG is eleven points ahead of Marseille (7th), twelve Monaco (11th) and fourteen Lyon (13th).

Only Lille is well placed among the top outsiders, in third place, but is already nine points behind the arch-favorite of the championship.

After this new victory, PSG is still undefeated since 2011 against his great Olympian rival. In eight years, Paris has won 13 times in 16 games, conceding three draws against Marseille.

In the history of the PSG-OM classics, this victory equals the record of the biggest goal difference in a match between the two enemies. A record achieved twice by PSG, in 1978 at home and away in 2017 each time on the score of 5-1 and once again by OM, in 1986, on the score this time of 4 -0 at the Velodrome.

With the attack trio formed by Angel Di Maria, author of two assists, Mbappé and Icardi, the Parisians have smothered from the first moments of Marseilles disunited, stunned and clumsy.

What lift the foot in a second period without goals, which will especially allowed to see Edinson Cavani on a lawn, absent since his hip injury against Toulouse on August 25 (4-0).

. Saint-Etienne stopped, Rennes relieved

After a draw and a defeat in the Europa League respectively, Saint-Etienne and Rennes experienced a lively Ligue 1 Sunday: the Greens were stopped by Amiens (2-2), the Bretons escaped Toulouse ( 3-2). And both are three points off the podium.

If Claude Puel remains undefeated since his arrival (2 wins, 2 draws), this draw against Amiens, in front of two empty forums because of a sanction of the Disciplinary Committee of the League, shows that all the evils are not treated.

For the Stephanois (12th) mastered the match, including the first goal this season of Wahbi Khazri, so effective last season, before conceding two goals.

Stade Rennes also led two goals before being joined 2-2 by Toulouse. But unlike the Greens, the Rennais have found a last breath, a goal of the youngest Yan Gboho (90 + 1), to deliver a match that had everything to trap him. And end a series of ten games without a win, which ran since August 25.
