Pope Francis called the poor 'gatekeepers of heaven' and urged them to pay attention and love.

According to ANSA and AFP, the Pope spoke of the Amazon's indigenous people who were threatened with predatory development in a predatory Mass Mass Synod talk on the Amazon issue today (local time).

The Pope pointed out that the powerful saw what they saw in the wounded face of the Amazon, thinking that the poor (natives) were out of date and worthless, despising their traditions, erasing history, taking land and plundering goods.

"I'll say it later when it's too late," he said. "You shouldn't just think of it as a relief," he stressed the immediate action to correct this behavior.

The pope urged self-magnetism, saying that even the Catholic Church was turning its back on the poor.

In particular, there was an atmosphere of disrespect, mocking and oppressing the voices of the poor because of inconvenience in the church, and criticizing Catholics who believe in their own religion without caring for others with love.

He warned, "The poor, who have only the Lord as their possessions, are the" gatekeepers of heaven "and the living signs of Christ's prophecy, opening the doors of eternal life to us."

The Pope suggested, "Pray for grace to know how to listen to the cry of the poor." He said, "It is also a cry of hope for the Catholic Church."

At this Synod, more than 180 bishops from around the world attended nine countries, including the South American Amazon, to discuss Amazon's issues, including environmental destruction, protection of indigenous human rights, and lack of priests for three weeks from the 6th.

After concluding the discussions, they voted and adopted a final report, which included recommendations to the local respected devout married men and the nomination of women as subtitles to address the issue of South American priest shortages.

It was noted as a symbol of the possibility of change in the Roman Catholic tradition for nearly 1,000 years.
