Liverpool's English league leaders won a tough match against Tottenham (2-1) on Sunday at Anfield Road and remain six points clear of Manchester City. Arsenal let him slip two points while Manchester United wins his first net victory for two and a half months.

Liverpool ensures

A week after being hooked on Manchester United, Liverpool quickly resumed his habits by defeating Tottenham (2-1).

An important victory for three reasons, since the Reds were able to react after being led in the first period.

It also keeps them six points ahead of Manchester City, and confirms their incredible home strength, where they have won their last fourteen matches in all competitions. That could count in two weeks, for the reception of their main rival for the title they have been waiting for three decades.

However, Jürgen Klopp's players took a long time to enter the match, including a goal in the 47th second of play. A hijacked Heung-Min Son hit on the bar landed on Harry Kane, who pushed the head the ball into the goal. The English striker, who does not appear in the list of 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or, has scored his sixteenth goal of the season in all competitions, a real performance.

Outside a strong time with four frank opportunities at the half-hour mark, Liverpool struggled to impose its usual intensity until the break. The European champion, however, attacked the second period on the floor, and logically equalized by Jordan Henderson (52). The goal of the victory came a quarter of an hour from the end, with a penalty converted by Mohamed Salah (75th), after an avoidable foul Serge Aurier on Sadio Mane.

This loss confirms Tottenham's difficulties this season. The North-London club moved to the second half of the table, in eleventh place.

Arsenal braked

The Gunners have let slip two points that could be expensive at the end of the season by conceding the draw on their court against Crystal Palace (2-2). Fifth in the standings, they leave Chelsea four points ahead, which is very similar to last season's scenario.

The Gunners, however, started well with two goals from Sokratis (7th) and David Luiz (9th). The victory seemed at this stage to be a formality, especially because they remained on five consecutive victories at the Emirates Stadium. But Luka Milivojevic (32) gave hope to the Eagles, before the former Marseille Jordan Ayew equalized (52).

Manchester United revive

The Reds Devils earned their first league win since mid-September, winning at Norwich Field (1-3). Still deprived of Paul Pogba, the players of Ole-Gunnar Solksjaer made the difference in the first period, by Scott McTominay (21st), then Marcus Rashford (30th). They also missed two penalties (Rashford and Martial). In the second half, Anthony Martial added to the advantage (73) and allowed to put into perspective the reduction of the Norwich score late in the game.

Reassured by their parity score against Liverpool last Sunday (1-1), then by their victory on the field of Partizan in Europa League (0-1), the Mancunians are placed in seventh position in the standings. But they will still have to work hard to once again inspire confidence in their supporters. Before this victory on the relegation field, it had been two and a half months since they had failed to score more than one goal in the same match.
