The meeting, in particular, was attended by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, as well as the chairmen of the Federation Council and the State Duma, the Secretary of the Security Council and the heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the FSB and the Foreign Intelligence Service.

During the meeting, Putin also spoke about the content of his contacts on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit that ended in Sochi.

Earlier, negotiations were held between the heads of the General Staffs of the Armed Forces of Russia and Turkey.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov noted that painstaking and complex work is ongoing to resolve the situation on the border between Turkey and Syria.
