“We hope that the first documents (on restarting the format of work with NATO. - RT ) will be signed this year,” Zagorodniuk said.

According to him, the new format will bring all programs of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO into one.

“NATO has introduced a one-country-one-plan approach, so support for Ukraine will be provided as part of a single program. We will be the first country to move according to this approach, ”he said.

He also announced the preservation of the annual national program in the framework of the new format, since "this, in fact, is an internal, unilateral document", and the new program will relate to bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.

Earlier, the head of the NATO mission in Ukraine, Alexander Vinnikov, said that the main purpose of the visit of the delegation of the North Atlantic Council led by Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on October 30-31 to Odessa and Kiev will be the transmission of a "solid signal of support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."

On October 21, Vinnikov announced plans for a NATO assessment mission to come to Ukraine in a few weeks “so that it could give the best advice and expertise to the country,” taking into account the annual national program for 2020.
