Police have called for three men who escaped from a closed care home in the northern county.

- The nursing home has sent in a request for hand extension for the men to be brought back. But we are not looking very actively. They are wanted as if they had escaped from an accommodation, says police spokeswoman Christina Hallin.

Persons with serious substance abuse problems are forced into the housing, but it is not criminal to escape from it.

- It is not a criminal offense to escape from either a care home or a prison, says Christina Hallin.

However, one of the men committed unlawful threats in connection with the escape.

- One of the men threatened staff when they escaped.

Christina Hallin has no information on what the threats consisted of or how the escape went. The police do not consider the men dangerous.
