Obbolabon Anna-Lee Magnusson is the initiator behind the name collection, which VK was the first to report on. According to her, the outdoor swimming pool is one of the few summer vacation options for the children in the community.
- You can swim in the sea, of course, but when it is algal bloom, neither can it. After all, not everyone can be at home with the children in the summer, and then it is much safer for them to be able to swim in the bath where there are staff, says Magnusson.
"Very important for Obbola"In recent years, a lot of business has disappeared from the resort and Anna-Lee believes that the outdoor bath plays a significant role.
- I would say that the bath is very important for Obbola. After all, we have lost almost all service, all we have today is basically an outdoor swimming pool and a grocery store.
At the time of writing, 332 people have signed the name collection and Anna-Lee will leave it open for a few days before handing it over to the municipal management.
- There is only about 2000 living here so this says something. Removing the bath in town is bad enough, but to do it in a small community where there is nothing else I think is boring.
