The complicated solution will be able to meet the electricity supply up to 2024, when the power grid from the north must be sufficiently developed to meet demand. This means, among other things, that once again, as a capacity contingency, the Heleneholmsverket which has been in the bag for a time is put into operation because production has not been profitable.

- This in itself will mean a slight increase in the electricity grid fee, CEO of Eon Energy Distribution Johan Mörnstam.

But he thinks that the electricity solution also means that Eon can lower the fee next six months.

Now EON can say YES to more companies

To date, Eon has felt compelled to say no to a number of Scanian companies that needed more electricity.

- With this solution we can actually say yes to the requests we have received, says Johan Mörnstam at EON.

Minister of Energy Anders Ygeman believes that the need for electricity has arisen because more and more companies have wanted to expand in Skåne.

- And that is gratifying, but then, as we now do, it is necessary to release electricity capacity for a long time to come.

The peacock satisfied with today's message

This week's CEO Anders Carlsson Jerndal is very relieved and happy after the agreement between the government and the industry.

- We are very happy and satisfied that this problem has been solved.

Pågens had received no from Eon for additional electricity supplies, which hindered the development of production intended primarily for export. Now this is resolved and the 800 employees in Malmö can breathe.

- This means that we can double the capacity and we count on how many people will be hired, says Anders Carlsson Jerndal.
