Charlotte's French winger, Nicolas Batum, who broke a finger on Wednesday's left hand, will be away from the prosecution for two to three weeks, said Friday its NBA franchise.

"Nicolas Batum has undergone an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) that confirmed a major avulsion fracture of his left hand and is unavailable for two to three weeks, after which he will be reevaluated," the statement said. Hornets.

The "avulsion fracture" suffered by the player, who will soon celebrate his 31 years, is a fracture coupled with a displacement of bone fragment.

Batum injured his left-hand finger - which is not the one he is shooting - in the third quarter of the match against Chicago (126-125) at the opening of the season.

The winger of the Blues, semi-finalist of the World Cup in China this summer, played only 11 minutes in total, out of the bench, without scoring any point. He just had time to catch four rebounds and hand out two passes.

A priori more fear than harm so for "Batman", which should be able to play again in November, he hoping to get off on the right foot after two disappointing NBA seasons, especially because of small recurring injuries, to win again as a important part of a team of Hornets in reconstruction.
