- We are working and working full time with witnesses and to secure evidence and the house search. So far we are not quite clear on what led up to the incident, says prosecutor Magnus Argus.

It was at noon on Thursday that the police were alerted to the Oscars gymnasium. An 18-year-old man was found cut outside on Stengatan in connection with the school. The man was taken to Västervik's hospital but was able to leave the hospital during the day. In connection with the incident, a 17-year-old man was arrested. He was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

- We are looking for several suspected perpetrators and since we are not yet ready with the injury documentation, I cannot say which weapon may have been used.

By Sunday at the latest, the arrested man should be arrested or released.
