In the capital Tegucicapla the protesters blocked the streets giving flames to tires and broken windows during clashes in the center. The protests exploded after Hernandez's younger brother was convicted of drug trafficking in New York. The president firmly denied the validity of conviction. According to Salvador Nasralla, a TV personality who heads a coalition that asks President Hernandez to resign.
