In California, the fire season continues. In three days, 600 fire starts were recorded. Thousands of hectares burned. And 50,000 people had to be evacuated.

Two fires are of particular concern to Californian authorities. Near Los Angeles, Tick Fire has already burned nearly 3,000 hectares. Attacked by winds at 100 km / h and temperatures over 30 degrees, the flames are advancing rapidly and the 600 firefighters mobilized have a hard time controlling the situation. In the face of the threat, the authorities ordered the evacuation of 50,000 people.

500 kilometers further north, in the wine-growing region of Sonoma, another fire, dubbed Kincade Fire has already ravaged nearly 6,500 hectares, despite the mobilization of 1,300 firefighters, hundreds of trucks and dozens of planes.

The origin of the Kincade Fire could be related to an incident on a power line, reported only seven minutes before the start of the flames. For California Governor Gavin Newsom, PG & E's electricity supplier is responsible. " They just did not do their job ! It took decades to find ourselves in this situation, but we will be able to cope. And they will be accountable! "

For its part, the electricity company multiplies the power cuts, precisely to avoid that the possible sparks on its lines do not cause new fires . The state of emergency is still in force in northern and southern California. Authorities say they fear new winds expected Saturday night and Sunday morning.
