“The Immigration and Customs Service has submitted an immigration notice to Russian citizen Maria Butina and will seek her deportation after she finishes serving her sentence,” TASS quoted the service as saying.

Earlier, Alexander Ionov, the official representative of the Russian woman convicted in the United States, Maria Butina, said that she had signed documents on her release from prison.

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said there were no formal obstacles to the return of Russian Maria Butina to Russia from the United States, where she is currently serving her sentence.
