“We are ready for negotiations in any format, the main purpose of which will be the restoration of the sovereignty of Ukraine over the Russian Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol,” Zelenko quotes Interfax-Ukraine.
She noted the readiness for negotiations in the Norman format, aimed at restoring the country's sovereignty over the "parts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions occupied by Russia".
“In accordance with the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, it is Ukraine that is a coastal state in the Black Sea, Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait, in waters adjacent to the Ukrainian Crimea,” she added, calling Russian recognition of these territories “another dirty Kremlin manipulation.”
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he would never forget about the Crimea, the return of which will be the “next challenge”.
In September, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced that Russia would not return Crimea to Ukraine.
Crimea became the Russian region after the 2014 referendum, in which the majority of the peninsula's people supported reunification with Russia.
