The groundwater levels in southern Östergötland, northern Småland and Gotland have not yet recovered from last summer's extreme drought, says hydrologist Niclas Hjerdt at SMHI.
Different conditions in the country- It was dry in the summer as well, but above all it was not filled during the winter of 2018/2019.

"New" seasonsAccording to Niclas Hjerdt, there is much to indicate that Sweden will have clearer periods in the future when it rains or snows, and periods when it is dry.
