She pointed out that the identity card has developed technical capabilities thanks to the great efforts of the Federal Authority for Identity and Nationality to become a mobile database, providing accurate personal data, and enable customers to take advantage of e-services in a safe manner, and protect their identity, as well as its role in the fight against counterfeiting And counterfeiting.

She pointed out the importance of using identity to support digital government transformation and improve the quality of services provided to customers and its role in stimulating institutions to develop their services and launch e-services based on the characteristics provided by the card. On the strategy of the department to implement the full digital transformation of its services, Eng. Nelly Al Shamsi said that the department has recently implemented electronic linkages with the TRA through the use of national identity data, to obtain the applicant information from the Federal Identity Authority database and the Ministry of Interior database. This linkage has contributed significantly to simplifying the procedures and expediting the application process, saving the time spent in entering data with the municipal councils to apply for land grants, and also helping to update the data and strengthen the ability of officials to Y important decisions in the various work sectors of the Department.

In a related context, the Assistant Director of the Department of Financial Affairs in the Department of Planning and Survey Ms. Amani Almahyan, praised the efforts exerted by the Central Department of Finance to facilitate the use of identity to complete transactions and pay fees in all government agencies in Sharjah, using the identity card issued by the Emirates Identity Authority.

She stated that many private and public institutions and insurance companies in the UAE, such as bodies, departments and banks, are working to prepare their systems to launch such a service and other services based on the ID card because of its paramount importance in the conduct of daily life affairs and the completion of many services in various services sectors in the country.
