Almost a third of parents (30.9%) believe that the motivation of children to study at school will increase if the content of educational programs is changed.

For the separation of final exams from school and entrance to the university, as it was before the introduction of the exam, 28.5% of respondents are in favor. Some respondents (26.4%) noted that the active use of information technology during lessons will be able to increase children's interest in learning.

A quarter of the parents surveyed consider it necessary to give students the opportunity to choose the subjects that they will study on their own.

To increase the motivation of schoolchildren, parents also consider it necessary to improve the methodology of teaching subjects (18.2%), make the lesson schedule more flexible (16.9%) and change the student knowledge assessment system (15.5%).

In addition, improving the organization of extracurricular activities (15.5%) and increasing the number of extracurricular activities at school (13.9%) will be able to interest children, respondents say.

Just over 26% of the parents surveyed said that their children are already interested in learning and do not need additional motivation.

According to one of the authors of the study, senior researcher at the Social Development Research Laboratory of the Institute for Social Analysis and Forecasting, RANEPA Dmitry Loginov, parents feel as much as possible involved in teaching children at school.

“Some of the parents say that the children are overloaded. It seems to parents that children study too much and restructuring the educational program in such a way that children study less would be beneficial ... Parents think that those subjects for which it is not necessary to take final grades could be smaller ... Someone thinks what would be better if there was more mathematics, someone - the Russian language, ”Loginov said in an interview with RT.

The survey involved 2.2 thousand parents or legal representatives of school students from three regions of the country.

Earlier, experts from the All-Russian Popular Front suggested that Rospotrebnadzor develop the maximum daily norm for the school load.
