It was a warm Christmas day when Jane Bejan and her husband packed the bag and went to Sahlgrenska. There, their third child would be brought to the world.
- My child weighed too much so they wanted to start me earlier, says Jane Bejan.
For Jane it was easy to get the decision to start.
- It was so nice to know that in a week I go in. And well in place, everything was prepared. It was like going to a hotel.
"Why should you wait?"Jane Bejan believes that all pregnant women should be given the opportunity to get started as long as the child is ready. And she is positive about Sahlgrenska's message to start pregnant that has gone over time by a week, instead of two as it is now.
- It's so heavy at the end, why should you go and worry and wait?
According to a study, with pregnant women being started, initiation is safer for the child, but can cause more complications for the mother.
- It's nothing I was worried about. There are always complications with childbirth.
