The match swelled back and forth on the scoreboard until halfway through the match. Then Linus Holmgren first put 4-3, before Niclas Brolin-Ljung only seconds later increased to 5-3.
In the third period, Växjö struggled for a receipt, but Dalen still managed to keep up and win the match by 8–6. The victory means that the Umeå club is now in fourth place in the series.
