by Michela Coricelli 24 October 2019The decisions of the European Central Bank - unchanged rates, Quantitative easing that restarts from 1 November - were expected: no surprise, therefore, for investors.
But after the last ECB Council chaired by Mario Draghi, the European stock exchanges consolidated the increases closing a very positive session: Milan gained 0.79%, London 0.91%, Frankfurt 0.58% and Paris the 0.55%.

A number of stocks shine in Piazza Affari after the presentation of the quarterly results: Stm earns 8.5% and Saipem 5.3%.

Meanwhile, Wall Street continues to be mixed, with the Dow Jones weak at -0.11% and the Nasdaq up sharply at + 0.74% thanks to the results of some big technology companies.
