October 23, 201912,58 Syrian President al-Assad accepted the agreement between Russia and Turkey on the division into areas of control and influence between Ankara and Moscow troops in the north-east of Syria. Putin and Assad had heard yesterday after the Russian president had reached a 10-point agreement with Turkish president Erdogan. Putin's spokesman, Peskov, said the Kurds must withdraw from the north-east of Syria, otherwise their units "will be crushed by the Turkish military machine".
