The application of «Tech Talk» social networking accounts removed the publication of propaganda videos to organize «ISIS», according to one of the employees of the company on Tuesday, in the latest scandal shaking this widespread application.

The TechTock app, owned by Chinese company BitDance, reported that it had around 500 million users worldwide last year, making it one of the most popular social media applications.

A company employee told AFP that about a dozen accounts had been removed for posting videos.

The footage contained photographs of bodies on the streets and gunmen carrying weapons, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The recordings were from more than 20 accounts monitored by social media monitoring company Storefol, the newspaper said on Monday.

"The content that promotes terrorist organizations has no place in the application," the company said in an e-mail to AFP.

"We permanently withhold such accounts and related devices as soon as they are identified, and we continually develop controls to proactively monitor suspicious activity."

The app allows users to produce and share 15-second video recordings, which are especially prevalent among teenagers.

The app has faced several problems in recent months.

He was briefly banned by an Indian court in April for allegedly spreading child pornography.

The application is also banned in neighboring Bangladesh and fined in the United States for illegally collecting information from children.
