Ethiopian Prime Minister Abe Ahmed said Ethiopia is ready for war and muster a million people if necessary in the cause of the Renaissance Dam with Egypt, and that "no force can prevent Ethiopia from building the Grand Renaissance Dam."

Abe Ahmed's sharp tone toward the Renaissance Dam crisis with Egypt came as he responded to questions at a parliamentary questioning session.

The Ethiopian Arabic page on Twitter quoted Abe Ahmed as saying that Ethiopia's construction of the dam is to take advantage of its natural resources and not to harm others, adding that the construction of the dam does not cause any harm to the downstream countries.

He added: "There is no solution other than cooperation, war can not be a solution, and if necessary, Ethiopia can mobilize a million people."
