The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the words of Facebook head Mark Zuckerberg that the company recorded attempts by Russia, China and Iran to "intervene in the US elections in 2020."

“So much for the fake news on social media.” Cheap and cheerful, ”Zakharova wrote on Facebook.

As ZBC Zuckerberg previously told NBC, the company sees attempts from abroad to influence US elections.

“Today we see that Russia, Iran and China are trying to interfere in the elections, resorting to increasingly sophisticated tactics,” said the head of Facebook.

In July, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Russia “intervened in the US election” at least five times.

The U.S. Senate also called on the FBI to assess its readiness to counter Russia's allegedly potential intervention in the U.S. election in 2020.

Moscow has repeatedly drawn attention to the groundlessness of allegations of interference.
