British government to submit legislation related to EU withdrawal to parliament 20:23

Prime Minister Johnson of the United Kingdom proposes to the Parliament on the 21st a bill related to the withdrawal from the EU = European Union. However, the ruling party led by Prime Minister Johnson has lost a majority in parliament, and the last opposition of the ruling and opposition parties will continue before the expiry deadline approaching 10 days later.

The British Parliament was scheduled to vote on the conditions of withdrawal that the government agreed with the EU on the 19th, but the vote was postponed because an amendment motion was passed to prioritize the development of national laws related to the withdrawal.

For this reason, the government will explain the bill related to withdrawal to the parliament on the 21st, and will urgently discuss it so that it can be withdrawn at the end of this month.

However, since the ruling party led by Prime Minister Johnson has lost a majority in parliament, it is unclear whether it will be able to finish the deliberation and voting promptly before the deadline approaching 10 days later and enact the law.

Apart from this, the government is also moving forward to move on as scheduled, asking again and again about the agreement with the EU on the conditions of withdrawal where the vote was postponed on the 21st.

While the government has a prospect that a majority will be able to secure, local media say that the chairman of the House of Representatives is unlikely to allow the same content to be voted on.

Prime Minister Johnson sent a letter to the EU last weekend asking for a postponement of the withdrawal deadline, but his position to leave at the end of this month has not been broken, and the ruling and opposition parties will continue to fight.
