SNCF has announced that all bookings canceled due to the social movement that has lasted since Friday will be fully reimbursed at no cost. The measure also includes tickets where it is written "neither exchangeable nor refundable".

The carrier also launched an exceptional compensation fund for all those who had to cancel a plane or a hotel night due to the canceled train. This fund will be effective from Thursday or Friday, said the company.

Who and where to apply for a refund?

A dedicated email address must be created in the coming days. This will request the refund of the tickets.

  • For the TGV and Intercités electronic tickets, reimbursement can be done by Internet, at the station or by telephone (at 36 35), providing its file number. The carrier guarantees a refund within 48 hours after the request.
  • Regarding tickets in paper format, they must be sent by mail to the customer service of SNCF.

Attention, the refund request for tickets dated Saturday can only be made until Wednesday.
