The representative of the Lithuanian army for public relations, Captain Gintautas Tsunis, told BNS that eight Abrams tanks and 21 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles were delivered to Lithuania. The equipment arrived from Poland.

“This is, first of all, the news for Lithuania and our neighboring NATO countries that we are countries that in the event of a crisis will defend themselves as part of NATO, that our allies are with us. It is also a message for Russia that the United States is involved. This is an additional deterrent, ”said Lithuanian Minister of Defense Raimundas Karoblis.

It is noted that military equipment will be involved in exercises in Lithuania. About 500 US ground forces will stay in Lithuania until spring.

Earlier, the Estonian Foreign Minister announced Tallinn’s desire to strengthen military cooperation with the United States.
