The alarm about the burning car came in at 06.10 on Monday morning. The passenger car is on the E22 north of Lund, just before the Gårdstånga traffic stop.
"According to the callers, the car is completely overturned," says Annelie Silveira, team leader at SOS Alarm.
The road is closed and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, the event will have a major impact on traffic.
"It is still unclear if the car is on the highway or if it is on an exit, but the rescue service is on the way to the scene," says Annelie Silveira.
