• Catalonia.Quim Torra informs the prisoners of the 'procés' that he will process his release from prison after the elections
  • PP.Pablo Casado proposes that the Government move the prisoners from 1-O out of Catalonia if the Generalitat processes their exit from prison

Albert Rivera has demanded today from Toledo to the Government in functions that "recover the penitentiary powers" for the State in order to guarantee that the convicted independentist leaders "cannot get out of jail until the last day of their sentence."

In an electoral act in the capital of Castilla-La Mancha, Rivera has made reference to the information of EL MUNDO. And he has denounced that " Quim Torra has just said that he will release those who have been convicted." For this reason, he has demanded that the president of the Government in office "apply the Constitution so that Torra cannot open the jail key."

This newspaper has advanced today exclusively that the former Catalan vice president, Oriol Junqueras , and the other six convicts imprisoned in the Lledoners prison (Barcelona) have attended together meetings with the Minister of Justice of the Generalitat, Ester Capella , the Saturday, and with the director of the prison, Susana Gracia, on Sunday, in which they have been transferred the message that, from 10-N, the Catalan penitentiary administration, in the hands of the Generalitat, will initiate the necessary procedures so that they can go out to the streets to perform social work and go back to sleep in prison, as has happened with Oriol Pujol , son of Jordi Pujol.

As Rivera recalled in his act in Toledo, the only one who can now make those decisions so that the prisoners do not get out of jail "for better or worse" is Pedro Sánchez . Therefore, he has demanded that he do so. "If I were the president," he added, "I would not let the jail door open, nor allow a pardon, and make all the security decisions" so that what happened in Barcelona did not happen in the last week.

The president of Ciudadanos has "extended his hand" to the chief executive to "return to constitutionalism", "break his agreements" with the independents in the Diputación de Barcelona and dozens of airports and to "act now in Catalonia".

Rivera has demanded "to apply the Constitution with serenity, without complexes and with firmness" to "put a president of the Generalitat to represent the State, not to attack the State, so that he cannot open the prison doors."

The liberal leader has criticized that we are attending "a hustle and bustle of calls and messages and letters" between Quim Torra and Pedro Sánchez. "Do we have to endure this show?", He said, "I would call the opposition to ask for their support" and to "apply the Constitution in Catalonia."

And he added that the only call Sánchez has to make to Torra is "to inform him of his termination in application of article 155 of the Constitution." In this way, "the volume" of the independence movement would be lowered and Torra would be "mute" to speak and address other problems that Spain has, such as education, health or emptied Spain.

"Remove Franco's body"

In the same act, the head of the list of Citizens to Congress for Toledo, Juan Carlos Girauta , has warned the PSOE and Pedro Sánchez, that the problems of Spain will not be resolved "by removing Franco's body from a pit."

In his opinion, what needs to be done are "a series of reforms that have been postponed for years" because of the PSOE and the PP.

Girauta has delved into criticism directed at the PSOE, a party that "has abandoned constitutionalism", where it has asked "to return." "Let him come back and forget his partners who want to break with the Constitution," he said.

These "necessary reforms" have to do, according to Girauta, "with serious and profound things", some reforms that Citizens "will apply if they are in the Government" and will "impose as conditions" if the Presidency of the State depends on their vote Government.
