The machinery and operators to proceed with the exhumation of the mortal remains of Francisco Franco have entered this Sunday in the Valley of the Fallen to begin preparing the work that the Government of Spain has ordered to carry out in the coming hours.
Shortly before three in the afternoon, two vans and two trucks arrived in the Valley of the Fallen , which in turn moved the machinery and equipment necessary for Franco's exhumation.
One of the trucks was carrying a telescopic wheel manipulator with a shovel of the Caterpillar brand, a reference in the construction and infrastructure sector.
Another vehicle was carrying, among other things, a brick pallet , sources present in the Valley of the Fallen reported to Servimedia.
The Government plans to proceed in the next few hours to exhumation of the remains of former Francisco Franco, as the deadline determined by the Council of Ministers ends on October 25.
In order to extract Franco's remains, the operators must first remove the two-ton stone slab that covers the tomb next to the altar of the Basilica of the Great Cross of the Valley of the Fallen.
Subsequently, they must fill in the hole where the coffin lies with Franco's remains so far and cover the floor with black marble tiles similar to those surrounding that area of the enclosure.
Subsequently, Franco's remains will be taken by helicopter to El Pardo for burial in the Mingorrubio cemetery where his wife's remains rest .
