Dibba Fujairah Municipality has implemented a project to provide water basins between the mountain areas, where it contributes to protect animals from extinction, and ensure the safety of areas and residential neighborhoods, and provide these resources to preserve wild animals to ensure their survival despite the harsh conditions experienced by the region of drought and scarcity of rain.

The municipality, represented by the Environmental Protection Department in cooperation with the Emirates Nature Conservation Society, has installed 24-hour inter-mountain cameras in environmentally sensitive habitats and captures images and videos within the biodiversity and wildlife monitoring program. And registered in an environmental database with the municipality, in addition to documenting rare species.

The Director General of Dibba Fujairah Municipality, Eng. Hassan Al-Yamahi, confirmed that the Municipality seeks to pay attention to these projects and put them within the standards and health requirements, and to contribute to the protection of animals, breeding places, and ensure the survival of biological heritage.

The municipality is intensifying its efforts to provide natural resources for wildlife, helping to reduce threats to livelihoods, and regularly monitoring these species for animal conservation and ensuring a safe environment for all.
