Someone or some have moved parts of the artwork and put it in a shape similar to a chin cross.
"The approach suggests that it would attract the attention of passersby," the police write on its site.
The police are investigating the incident as an injury and incitement against a group of people. The artwork "The Secret of the Forest" was created by the artist Jasmine Cederqvist together with many Eskilstunabor.
