Pau revived by winning at home against Castres (37-24), thus ending three defeats in rank on Saturday for the eighth day of Top 14.

This first success of the Palois for a month and their resounding feat in Clermont (37-28) is the third at home where they remained on a beating against Racing 92 (3-31). It allows the Béarnais to move away from the red zone with a balance now balanced (4 wins and 4 losses).

Castres, for its part, still has not found the remedies for its ills on the outside because the CO still has not taken the slightest point in four trips. In addition, this second consecutive loss after the defeat in Toulouse (15-36) pushes back the Castrais in 12th place pending the displacement of Racing 92 in La Rochelle in the evening.

It was however the Castrais who took the best start by scoring the first try of the match on the fourth achievement of the center Thomas Combezou, very prominent since the beginning of the season (3-7, 15th).

A short advantage since ten minutes later Pau had taken control thanks to two tries by his scrum half Samuel Marques (21) and his hooker and captain Quentin Lespiaucq (17-7, 26th).

A double of the latter and another try of Watisoni Votu offered a significant advantage to the Bearnais on the hour of play (37-10, 59th), before Castres finally deprive Pau of the offensive bonus on two trials of Tulou (64 ) and Dumora (72).
