The work of prevention by the intelligence and information services of the State has been very intense in recent weeks. Its action has obtained a result: it has been possible to identify and reject at least 300 anarchist radicals who were traveling from different parts of Europe to Barcelona.

According to sources of state security, the services detected a significant number of so-called "radical anarchists", perfectly identified, who planned to move to Catalonia these days to "participate" in the episodes of violence.

They explained that in recent times they have located many of the "regulars" of those anarchists who travel throughout Europe to participate in loud protests and lead the street rallies. The exchange of information between the intelligence services of the EU countries is essential to develop security deployments. And that exchange is what warned of the imminent arrival in Catalonia, mainly in Barcelona, of these highly violent radicals.

There are about half a thousand who have managed to circumvent border surveillance and, fundamentally, have managed to access Spain by airport, avoiding direct routes to Catalonia. Those 500 are having a specific weight in the protests, because they are authentic "professionals of violence" and consider that Catalonia is now their "amusement park". Greece and Italy are the countries of origin of those considered the most radical that are even classified as "anarcoterrorists", explain these same sources.

From Interior they explained to EL MUNDO that at least thirty of the protagonists of acts of violence in recent days have already been identified and will be arrested in the next few hours. In addition, both the Mossos d'Esquadra and the National Police and Civil Guard have created special groups that are reviewing all images of the media - especially televisions - and social networks.

In addition, there is a second way of investigation in which it is about identifying the "intellectual authors" of the violent episodes. Because, as experts have transferred to the Ministry of Interior, violent groups are not very numerous, but they are perfectly organized and have a "measured and" very studied "action plan." Anarchists are joining the actions of violent independence groups. The squatter world is also acquiring great prominence in street violence.

What is surprising researchers is the large number of children who are participating in the raids. In fact, these sources point to a legal tool that is not being used and that could stop the intervention of some of the groups. This is the Citizen Security Law, which considers as a serious offense some of the actions that are taking place and that could lead to economic sanctions between 600 and 30,000 euros by administrative decision.
