“Yesterday’s attack on worshipers reveals the cowardice and cruelty of those who neglect human lives and are committed to violence against the innocent,” the US Department of State said in a statement.
Washington condemned the deliberate attack on civilians and expressed support for the families of the victims.
Pompeo also emphasized US commitment to peace and stability in Afghanistan.
