Lately, there have been reports that IS prisoners have moved away from camps in northern Syria. Ann Linde believes that there is a risk that the terrorist group may form new cells in Europe and commit new acts of violence.

- Unfortunately, there is the risk. That was one of the first things I warned about when Turkey entered Syria, and that is what has happened now. It is true that many have escaped, they have even raised IS flags and said to resume the fight, says Ann Linde in P1.

No information about IS-Swedes who moved

At present, there is no information on Swedish IS supporters who escaped from camps or prison facilities in Syria, says Ann Linde.

- As it is today, we do not know if any IS-Swedes have escaped, says Ann Linde.

The Foreign Minister admits that she thinks it is worrying that IS members can return to Sweden.

- But I know that both Säpo and the Police are well prepared for this and know every single individual of the 300 who have traveled. They are well equipped if they should return to Sweden again, ”she says.
