Daily physical activity at school can become a reality in Flen

The idea is that daily movement should become a compulsory part of teaching.

- It's a win-win concept. Some schools are already doing this but only with the children who think it is fun. This should apply to all children, it will be a mandatory activity, she says.

The motion states, among other things, that "The Liberals in Flen believe that the students in our municipality should be offered good conditions for improved and equal school results and better health in the short and long term".

- Everyone knows that children are very much at home. In the region we follow the health of the county, and we can see that children in Sörmland are not doing so well. Mental health and exercise in general are related.

- The trend is that you should move more and it would be strange if you did not try to do this, and it does not cost a lot of money.

The municipal council approved the motion, which is now to be taken up by the municipal council where the final decision will be made.

- I really hope it goes through. No one has questioned it and it has been favorably treated by the local council, so I am hopeful.
