Thursday's gunfire in Tybble is the second major act of violence in the area in less than a month. At the end of September, a man was brutally beaten with a firearm and taken to hospital. One of the things the police will be looking at now is any links to that incident.

- Obvious. When serious crimes happen where it can be related, we look into it, not only in the near future but also older events. What is happening in the area in question, we look at it all the time, says police officer Christina Hallin.

Suspected attempted murder

The police classify the incident as a suspected attempted murder, since the incident indicates that one or more people were targets.

"We don't think it was a sniper there against any tree or a house wall, but people have been shot at," said Mats Öhman, a police spokesman, during yesterday evening.

No arrest, no victim

The number of perpetrators involved is not determined, but according to Christina Hallin it is a number of persons. However, no one is arrested. The police worked at the scene during the evening and continued during the night.

- The technical investigations have been completed and the barriers have been canceled. We found some that were seized, but I do not go into what, says Christina Hallin.

According to the police, there is still no one who can be seen as a plaintiff or victim and what they know nobody has been physically injured.

- No, not what we got.

"Classic investigative work"

With the cause of the criminal prosecution, it is the department of serious crimes on the police that will investigate the case now.

- It's been over at the investigation stage so they have to go through the information we received. It is classic investigative work that awaits now.

Witnesses at the site described it as being automatic weapons, is that something you can comment on?

- This is something that the technicians' possible findings will show, so I can't comment on this at the moment, says Christina Hallin.
