“The European Council approves the Council’s conclusions of October 14, 2019 in connection with the illegal drilling activity of Turkey in the exclusive economic zone of Cyprus,” TASS quoted the final statement of the first day of the EU summit in Brussels.
It is noted that the European Council confirms its solidarity with Cyprus.
On October 15, US President Donald Trump signed a decree imposing sanctions against Turkey in connection with the military operation of Ankara in Syria.
