An attack on a mosque in Afghanistan, produced during Friday's prayer, has left 62 dead and 33 wounded, according to a new balance sheet by authorities in Nangarhar Province (east).

"The balance of the attack against the mosque rose to 62 dead and 33 wounded," announced a spokesman for the governor of the province, Attaulá Jogyani, who had previously reported 28 dead. The Taliban have condemned the attack, which they attribute to government forces or the Islamic State.
