As the deputy noted, “in Russia, it turns out, there are centers for training leaders, we’ll name them in quotation marks, leaders of protests, violators of the law.”

“And there are centers abroad that train such leaders for other people's money,” he added.

According to him, the commission also revealed violations of the law by Medusa, the BBC Russian service, Radio Liberty *, Voice of America * and a number of other media resources during the election campaign in Russia.

Materials are expected to be sent to Roskomnadzor and the prosecutor's office.

“We discussed issues with violations of the law, which were also found in other media resources of foreign countries, such as Radio Liberty, Present, Medusa, the Russian BBC service, MBH Media, Voice of America,” said Piskarev.

As the deputy emphasized, a representative of the agency, which “oversees the implementation of media laws, confirmed that indeed these media resources violated the laws during the period when the election campaign was carried out, on election day and on the day of silence”.

Earlier, the relevant commission of the lower house of parliament sent Facebook questions regarding compliance with Russian law.

At the end of September, the commission instructed to prepare amendments on fines of up to 50 million rubles for violation of the country's election laws by Internet resources.
