In a trial in which defendant Akio Shigemitsu, president of South Korea's Lotte Group, was accused of bribery, the Korean Supreme Court handed down a decision to dismiss the appeal, and a conviction with a deferment was finalized.

Both sides appealed, but the Supreme Court of Korea handed down the decision to dismiss the appeal on the 17th, and the conviction with a suspended sentence was finalized.
