North Korea's president, Kim Jong-un, appears to be fond of riding, as the man sometimes replaces his extravagant life and rides on snow-capped mountains, according to North Korean news agency KCNA. The Korean leader was shown riding a white horse at Mount Pequot, a mountain on the border between North Korea and China. It is not known when the pictures were taken, but they were released the day before yesterday, showing the Korean leader in high spirits, on the back of the white horse, and even smiled to the cameras as he approached the photographers. Kim was wearing heavy clothes and thick gloves, apparently to protect him from the cold.

Kim's pictures on his horse evoke images published in 2009 by the Kremlin of Russian President Vladimir Putin, except that Kim was wearing full and heavy clothes. The images in which Putin topless his muscular muscles were captured during his annual vacation, running against his horse in the vast wilds of Siberia, caused a sensation around the world.

Kim is believed to be a fan of horses and sports. He was seen riding a horse similar to the one he is riding on in 2012 while searching an army base. In 2016, news reports revealed that North Korea's president spent 132,452 pounds to buy horses from Russia.

The images come after North Korea announced earlier this month that Kim would not meet with US President Donald Trump for "tedious negotiations" unless Trump abandoned his "aggressive policy" against North Korea.
