As part of testing the legislative initiative of the ministry, Sberbank, Russian Agricultural Bank, VTB, Svyaz-Bank, Gazprombank and Tinkoff Bank in five regions of Russia will begin to provide citizens with a number of free public services, including receiving a pension and maternity capital, registering an IP, registering as an insured.

In general, banks will be able to provide certain services of the Pension Fund, Social Insurance Fund, the Federal Tax Service and the Federal Bailiff Service.

“The draft resolution expressly provides that the data received by banks in the framework of the provision of public services is prohibited from being used for other purposes, including commercial ones,” Shipov said.

Since 2022, such a practice can begin to be introduced throughout the country.

The Ministry of Economic Development expects that the innovation will improve the quality of government services and reduce the burden on multifunctional centers.
